Though it's obvious these pieces were probably written in entirety or at least edited after 9/11, it would have been interesting to see Will's feelings before 9/11 (had he even written anything about it before it happened). This book is an exceptional introduction to the work of Sylvia Wynter, Hortense Spillers, and Black feminist theories of the human. I was quoting lines from this book to my husband and giggling the entire way through. Chef Polak, hangs his chef's hat, both at Hadassah Medical Center where he treats patients and at Hadassah College where he teaches future chefs how to cook healthy foods in general, and specifically how to create recipes that take into consideration the do's and don'ts for those suffering from Crohn's disease, diabetes and celiac disease.
